Of Mice and Cthulhu

I’ve recently completed a couple of painting jobs that I’d like to share.

The first is the set of miniatures that come with “Mice and Mystics” by Plaid Hat Games. A friend picked up the game and wanted me to paint the miniatures for him. I think they turned out pretty well and Doug seems to be happy.

The other figure I picked up for myself and painted was the Cthulhu “miniature” (in quotes because it’s nine inches tall and nine inches long) from the Bones collection from Reaper Miniatures.

Mike down at Kingston Gaming Nexus suggested that I paint him purple. “But,” I said, “Cthulhu’s green, isn’t he?” He replied, “Yeah, but this is your Cthulhu. You can do whatever you want.”

So as a nod to Mike, I did add some purple to make him my own. 🙂

I apologize for the quality of the photos. I’m a painter and terrain builder, not a photographer. I’ll get some better photos up once I can convince my daughter Jessica to bring her good camera and lights over. 🙂
